Visegrad 4 Eastern Partnership Extended Standard Grants

The International Visegrad Fund is hereby announcing a call for proposals for Extended Standard Grant projects within the Visegrad 4 Eastern Partnership (V4EaP) program. The grants to be awarded under this call for proposals will be supported by the Minister for European Affairs and International Cooperation of the Netherlands, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, and the International Visegrad Fund.

The purpose of the call is to promote democratization and civil society in the countries of the

Eastern Partnership through medium-term projects aimed at providing access to the experience of the Visegrad Group countries in democratic transformationEU integrationcivil society building and regional cooperation.

 

The proposed projects should focus on some of the following objectives:

  • Strengthening the sustainability of EaP civil organizations through enhancing their

management, communication and fundraising skills, assisting them in building the

essential capacities to successfully apply for EU funding and helping them to link up

with international civil networks

  • Enhancing the engagement of EaP civil organizations with the society through

initiating and implementing socially useful projects

  • Promoting the cooperation between EaP civil organizations and local governments,

enhancing the capacity of NGOs in attending to local needs through initiating concrete

projects

  • Facilitating reform processes, political association and economic integration with the

EU, enhancing institutional capacity

  • Transfering V4 experience in shaping public attitudes and communicating the benefits of democratic transformation and European integration
  • Strengthening regional cooperation among the EaP countries

 

Project proposals must involve organizations from at least three V4 countries and at least one Eap country. Implementation timeframe of proposed projects is preferably 12 months but shall not exceed 18 months.

 

Budget proposals shall adhere to the following framework conditions:

  • Total budget not exceeding €70,000
  • Own contribution of applicants set at minimum 10%
  • Purchasing tangible and intangible assets is allowed up to 7%

of the approved sum of which at least 60% shall support project implementation by

EaP organizations

  • Overhead costs set at maximum 7% of the approved sum

 

V4EaP Extended Standard Grants can be implemented simultaneously with other grant programs of the Fund.
